In order to unlock all the benefits and goodies of BoatProject, you can upgrade for a small subscription fee. You will be asked for a credit card or banking information; all the financial data is handled securely by a third party.  To upgrade:

First, login to boatproject at https://www.boatproject.com and click the "login" menu option. Enter your credentials.

Next, Choose Account from the menu

Click where it says Current Plan:

This will open a pricing window where you can choose the subscription type. If you have a promotion code, type it in (indicated by the red circle) before hitting your "Switch to" button (indicated by the red arrow).  If the promotion code is valid, it will turn green and the pricing will change to reflect that.

Click on the type you wish to purchase.

Another window will open asking for your financial information.

  Complete that form and submit. Upon success, you will be notified that you will be logged out. Log back in again to access your new features.
